Invoicing

Get Paid Faster with Professional Lawn Care Invoices

Mark a job complete and the invoice goes out automatically — line items, customer, payment link, all built from the job. Or invoice manually anytime, with or without a job record. Either way, you get paid online with one tap from the customer's email.

How It Works

The default path: mark a job complete and the invoice sends itself. Manual invoicing is always there when you need it.

1

Mark the Job Complete

Tap "Complete" on the calendar, the mobile app, or the job detail page. GreenRoute captures the service date and every line item from the job's services automatically.

2

Invoice Sends Automatically

GreenRoute builds the invoice from the completed job, sets the due date from the customer's payment terms, and emails it with a one-tap pay link — no clicks required from you. Need to invoice without a job? Create one manually for any customer in seconds.

3

Get Paid Online

Your customer pays from the invoice email by credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. The money lands in your Stripe-connected account; the invoice updates to Paid automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about GreenRoute's lawn care invoicing software.

What payment methods can my customers use?
All plans include credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. The Professional plan and above add tracking for cash, checks, Zelle, Venmo, CashApp, and PayPal, so you can record payments however your customers prefer to pay.
Does GreenRoute automatically invoice when a job is marked complete?
Yes. The moment you mark a job complete — from the calendar, the mobile app, or the job detail page — GreenRoute generates an invoice from the job's services, applies the customer's payment terms for the due date, and emails it with a one-tap online pay link. No extra clicks. Combined with recurring services, an entire month of invoices can go out without you touching anything.
Can I create an invoice manually without a job?
Yes. From the Invoices page you can create an invoice for any customer with custom line items — no job record required. Useful for ad-hoc work, materials-only billing, retainers, or anything that doesn't fit a scheduled job. You can also create a manual invoice that's linked to a job if you want the historical association on both records.
Does GreenRoute charge transaction fees on payments?
GreenRoute itself does not charge transaction fees. Standard payment processing fees from the payment provider (such as Stripe) still apply, but GreenRoute never adds a markup on top of those fees. What you see is what you pay.
Can I customize my invoice template with my company logo?
Yes. All plans let you add your business name, contact information, and payment terms to create a professional invoice template. The Professional Plus and Enterprise plans also let you add your company logo to invoices and outgoing emails for a fully branded experience.
How do automatic payment reminders work?
GreenRoute sends friendly email reminders to customers with unpaid invoices. You can configure when reminders go out — such as 3 days, 7 days, and 14 days after the due date. Reminders stop automatically once the invoice is paid, so your customers never get nagged after they've settled up.
